Amended Flight Paths released
The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts has recently released amended flight path proposals for the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport.
The two proposals are:
- Revised flight paths for jets travelling east from the airport at night; and
- A new noise abatement procedure for overnight aircraft.
Access to the proposed amendments, including an information brochure and posters are available at www.wsiflightpaths.gov.au/resources. The final Environmental Impact Statement is expected to be published in late 2024.
The Department held an online community information session on Monday 12 August 2024. This session was recorded and a set of frequently asked questions have been prepared to answer the most commonly asked questions. Visit www.wsiflightpaths.gov.au/resources for more information.
