Council has chosen the activities for the site to activate the courts and provide an opportunity for the community to play pickleball, the fastest growing sport in the country. Pickleball is played by all ages and abilities and caters to social and competitive players.

The Interactive Sports Wall provides a first for public open space in Australia! The wall can be used for a wide range of sports to help develop target skills in a fun environment – it is the link between the digital world of play to the outdoors.

The tennis court and basketball half court are retained and upgraded to offer the community options for fun at the one facility.

Pickleball is a popular racquet sport that combines elements of tennis and badminton. It is played on a rectangular court with a net in the middle, using a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. Players, either in singles or doubles, score points by hitting the ball over the net and into the opposing team's side. Users can engage in a variety of sports and fitness activities, such as virtual tennis, soccer, or reaction-based games, by interacting with the wall's dynamic visuals and responsive touch technology, making it an engaging and immersive way to stay active and improve sports skills.

Council is looking to redevelop the facility starting in late 2023 with the resurfacing of the courts, installation of the wall, improvements to the basketball facility and landscaping all to be included to provide the community improved activity options.
