Larkin Place project now complete

Camden Council received grant funding from the NSW Government's 2022 Streets as Shared Spaces initiative for Larkin Place in Camden. This project included temporary and permanent installations aimed to enhance the space's vibrancy and provide additional amenities for improved pedestrian and visitor experiences.

The project is now completed, and the evaluation of feedback to determine final outcomes is finalised. We thank you for your feedback on the project, which has assisted Council in evaluating and concluding the project.

Larkin Place was identified as an area for improvement in the Urban Design Framework (UDF). The UDF is a strategic planning tool that sets out a design vision for the future development of the Camden Town Centre, including the design of buildings, public spaces, pedestrian and vehicle access, and landscape themes.

Throughout the project, Council implemented a range of engagement opportunities for the community to keep updated and provide feedback.
