Sustainability Matters

Camden Council is developing a new Sustainability Strategy to guide how we protect, enhance, and future-proof our natural environment while supporting the wellbeing of our growing community.

Over the past decade, guided by the 2020–2024 Sustainability Strategy, we have made significant progress in environmental sustainability. The new Strategy will build on that foundation, addressing key issues such as climate change, biodiversity, the circular economy, emissions reduction and sustainable water and land management.

We want to hear from you.

Your insights, ideas and experiences will help ensure the Strategy reflects the values, needs and priorities of the community.

Tell us what matters most—whether it’s protecting local wildlife, reducing waste, or preparing for climate impacts.

Get involved by completing the survey, attending community pop-up sessions or sharing your experiences on the ideas wall.

Together, we can create a future focused strategy that supports a healthier and more sustainable community.

For a shared understanding we've provided simple definitions of key sustainability concepts to help you get involved and have your say with confidence.
