ON EXHIBITION: 17 August to 14 September 2023
Camden Council has endorsed public exhibition of a proposal to amend the Camden Contributions Plan 2011.
Please take a look at the detail and share your thoughts on the proposal.
Background
The Camden Contributions Plan 2011 was initially adopted in April 2012 and generally applied to all land in the Camden Local Government Area (LGA) except for land in the following areas:
- Land within the Oran Park and Turner Road Precinct Plan 2007 as defined in State Environmental Planning Policy (Sydney Region Growth Centres) 2006;
- Land within the Harrington Park, Harrington Grove and Mater Dei development areas that is subject to a planning agreement under the EP&A Act (or similar agreement prepared between the Council and the developer) that addressed the provision of development contributions for public services and amenities located outside of each of those development sites; and
- Land that is affected by the State Environmental Planning Policy (Sydney Region Growth Centres) 2006 (SEPP) but that has not yet been rezoned by the SEPP. Where land is rezoned for development under the SEPP, a contributions plan has been prepared for the precinct and this plan will no longer apply.
Amendments to the Contributions Plan
Aside from updates to ensure consistency with current development context, infrastructure delivery, legislation and Council policies, a key change is the retirement of the areas outside of the Spring Farm and Elderslie precincts. These precincts are identified in Figure 1 of the Draft Camden Contributions Plan 2011 (Amendment 1).
