Camden Council has endorsed public exhibition of a proposal to amend Council's Works In Kind Policy.

Background
The Works In Kind Policy directs and guides Council, developers and landowners in the negotiation and administration of Works In Kind Agreements (WIKAs) associated with development on land covered by a contributions plan. This Policy was first adopted by Council on 24 November 2009.
Amendments
Key amendments to the Draft Works In Kind Policy include:
- Changing how Council administers surplus credits generated through a WIKA or land dedication from repayment at the end of the life of the Contributions Plan to when land has been dedicated or works have been awarded practical completion; and
- Correcting grammatical and formatting errors or inconsistencies.
