Child Safe Policy Adopted

As per the resolution at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 14 November 2023, the Child Safe Policy has been adopted. No unresolved submissions were received during the exhibition period.

Draft Child Safe Policy

Council is inviting feedback from the community on our draft Child Safe Policy.

The draft Policy aligns with recent legislative changes under the Children’s Guardian Act 2019 and demonstrates Council’s progression towards implementation of the Child Safe Standards.

Exhibition period: The draft Policy is placed on public exhibition from 22 November 2023 to 15 February 2024.

Written submissions are welcome by 5pm on Thursday 15 February 2024 and can be:

  • completed using the online submission form (below)
  • hand delivered during business hours to Council’s Administration Building, 70 Central Avenue, Oran Park NSW 2570
  • posted to Camden Council, PO Box 183, Camden NSW 2570
  • sent via email, attention Community Planning & Development, to mail@camden.nsw.gov.au

Hard copies of the draft Policy will also be available for viewing at Council’s Libraries, Oran Park Administration Building and at Julia Reserve Community Centre.

In the event that no submissions are received, the Policy will be deemed as adopted from the day after the close of the exhibition period.
