Please help us to keep improving Hilder Reserve

In 2021, Camden Council adopted the masterplan for the redevelopment of Hilder Reserve. The masterplan aims to upgrade the reserve in a staged manner to meet community needs for sport and recreation facilities, while retaining it as a key baseball facility in the LGA.

As the baseball facility, Stage 1, is complete we are now reviewing and updating the Masterplan to ensure that is ready for potential grant applications and funding opportunities.

Changes proposed for Hilder Reserve Masterplan

In the Hilder Reserve Masterplan, the open space at the corner of Harrington Street and Lowe Crescent known as “Area 07” was set aside for future planning.

It's now time to consider a proposal to use the 07 Area for a playspace plus baseball warm-up and training activities.

Council is proposing to relocate the playspace from its originally proposed position near the batting cage and little league baseball field (Area 10). This change aims to avoid potential conflicts between ball games and the play area.

The batting cage is also proposed to be relocated to Area 07 to support baseball warm-up and training activities.
