We're working on delivering the Leppington Oval Precinct Masterplan

Camden Council is revamping a 17.34ha site in Leppington which will provide passive open space, a shared pathway network, play spaces, courts, sport fields and more.

The Leppington Oval Precinct Masterplan is a combination of four land areas:

  • Sports Precinct
Located on the southern side of the precinct, adjoining Heath Road, Byron Road, Messenger Road and Capparis Lane. The existing Leppington Oval, also known as Pat Kontista Reserve, is included in this area. Council has recently reviewed the plans for this area, which can be viewed here.
  • Community Centre
Located on the southern side of the precinct, adjoining Heath Road and Rickard Road. Along with a Community Centre, the area will also include rain gardens, drainage, boardwalks and shared paths for walking and cycling.
  • Stage 1
Located adjacent to Rickard Road and links the Sports Precinct and the Community Centre to the Public Reserve. This area will include connective pathways for walking and cycling, rain gardens, basins, drainage channels and interactivity with Scalabrini Creek.
  • The Public Reserve
Located to the north of the precinct beside Amity School, the Public Reserve will include passive open space, boardwalk, play equipment and shared paths for walking and cycling.

We started by developing a Masterplan which was adopted by Council in September 2022. We then sought grant funding and are now developing designs to deliver the Masterplan.

Visit Council's website for progress updates on the project.
