Submissions are currently sought by Camden Council for Planning Proposal - PP/2021/10/1 at 229 Macquarie Grove Road, Cobbitty (Mater Dei/Wivenhoe).
This proposal seeks to amend planning controls that apply to the site to facilitate environmental conservation and support the ongoing uses and programs as separate entities.
Summary of Proposed Amendments

The Planning Proposal seeks to make amendments to Camden Local Environment Plan 2010 Land Zoning and Minimum Lot Size Maps.

The Planning Proposal seeks to rezone land to reflect the site’s current uses including a proposed SP2 Educational Establishment Zone, an extension of the existing C2 Environmental Conservation Zone and the introduction of a RU2 Rural Landscape zone.

The proposal also seeks to amend the minimum lot size of proposed SP2 and RU2 zoned land.


Background Information

The Planning Proposal is in the initial stages of assessment. At the end of the initial notification period, Council officers will prepare an initial report to the Camden Local Planning Panel (Panel) on the Planning Proposal.

Following the Panel’s consideration, a report will then be prepared for Council’s consideration. Council will be asked to determine if the Planning Proposal has merit and can proceed to a Gateway Determination.

Submissions received to the initial notification of the Planning Proposal will be considered in the report to Council.
