Public Exhibition

Submissions are currently sought by Camden Council for Planning Proposal - PP/2022/1/1 relating to land at Abercrombie Place, Harrington Park.

This proposal seeks an amendment to the Camden Local Environmental Plan 2010 (Camden LEP 2010) to increase the minimum lot size standard and amend the boundaries of the R5 Large Lot Residential and C2 Environmental Conservation zones for land at Abercrombie Place, Harrington Park.

Summary of Proposed Amendments

The Planning Proposal seeks to amend the Camden Local Environmental Plan 2010 as follows:

  • Amend the Lot Size Map applying to Lots 2-12 from 700m2 and 2,000m2 to 6,000m2.
  • Amend the Lot Size Map applying to Lot 1 to remove the 700m2 standard so that it is consistent with other C2 Environmental Conservation zoned land in the Camden LGA.
  • Amend the Land Zoning Map to rezone the portions of Lot 2 and Lots 4-12 currently zoned C2 Environmental Conservation to R5 Large Lot Residential.
  • Amend the Land Zoning Map to rezone a portion of Lot 1 currently zoned R5 Large Lot Residential to C2 Environmental Conservation.


Background Information

On 10 May 2022, Camden Council resolved to proceed with a Planning Proposal to amend the Camden Local Environmental Plan 2010.

On 15 July 2022, the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DPE) issued a Gateway Determination to progress the Planning Proposal to public exhibition. The proposal is now exhibited in accordance with the Gateway Requirements and Council's Community Participation Plan.


Exhibition period: 17 October to 13 November 2022
